Originally from West Virginia, Afsheen Misaghi is a performer and creative of Middle Eastern and South Asian descent.
Recently, Afsheen finished filming a role in an upcoming HBO show and will return to London this summer for his recurring role in the second season of The Agency on Paramount+. He will also be performing in a lead role in Long Wharf Theatre’s production of English.
In the past few months, Afsheen appeared as Shervin in The Friend opposite Naomi Watts, Afshin Mahdavi on The Better Sister opposite Jessica Biel, and was in the series premiere of The Agency. He has also appeared in HBO’s Succession, NBC’s The Blacklist, Starz’s Power Book II: Ghost, and CBS’s Blue Bloods and FBI: Most Wanted. His recent theater credits include lead roles in at Shakespeare & Company, Mosaic Theatre Company, Premiere Stages, Barrington Stage, Gulfshore Playhouse, as well as productions at the Contemporary American Theatre Festival and in an originally devised off-Broadway production.
Afsheen was featured as one of the select performers and writers in the 2022 ViacomCBS Showcase. He premiered his comedy special Yeah, I'm FROM From There at the 8th Annual NYC Solocom and also created, directed, and performed in Normal for Now, a four-part anthology series that premiered on Amazon Prime. Afsheen has also appeared in numerous commercials, regional theater productions, and award-winning sketches and short films. He has trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade and the Peoples Improv Theatre, studied acting under Bob Krakower, Shelia Gray, Vance Barber, and Andrew Polk, holds a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Florida, and is an alumnus of the Fulbright Program.
