Originally from West Virginia, Afsheen Misaghi is a performer and creative of Middle Eastern and South Asian descent.
Recently, Afsheen played Shervin in The Friend opposite Naomi Watts and finished filming on The Better Sister opposite Jessica Biel. He appeared in the series premiere of The Agency on Paramount+ and will return to London this summer for his recurring role in the second season.
In the past year, Afsheen concluded a starring role in the world premiere of Three Tall Persian Women at Shakespeare & Company, and appeared in HBO’s Succession, NBC’s The Blacklist, Starz’s Power Book II: Ghost, CBS's Blue Bloods, Bars and Measures at Mosaic Theatre Company, and Selling Kabul at Premiere Stages. He has been featured as one of 15 performers and writers in the 2022 ViacomCBS Showcase and performed at the Contemporary American Theatre Festival, Gulfshore Playhouse, and in an originally devised off-Broadway production.
In 2021, Afsheen made his network television debut on CBS's FBI: Most Wanted and performed in the premiere of Andy Warhol in Iran opposite Anthony Rapp at Barrington Stage Company. He premiered his comedy special Yeah, I'm FROM From There at the 8th Annual NYC Solocom and also created, directed, and performed in Normal for Now, a four-part anthology series that premiered on Amazon Prime. He has also performed in numerous commercials, regional theater productions, and award-winning sketches and shorts. He has trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade and the Peoples Improv Theatre, studied acting under Bob Krakower, Shelia Gray, Vance Barber, and Andrew Polk, holds a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Florida, and is an alumnus of the Fulbright Program.
